BassDrill is a company formed to design, fabricate & operate safe & efficient drilling equipment.
While providing equipment that is specifically intended for the purpose it is used and meets the customer’s needs is our priority, it is only half the story. We firmly believe that even quality hardware requires the right employee and management expertise and vision to back it up and get the job done effectively and reliably. BassDrill is moving forward on the construction of a second vessel.The delivery of the first vessel “Alpha” occurred January 14th, 2010. In designing these vessels we have taken advantage of the not insignificant experience of our core management team in the fabrication and operation of modular offshore rigs. Their expertise has been used to create two unique designs which will facilitate safe, cost-effective workover as well as light and moderate-depth drilling in benign environments.
The basic design is now complete and ABS approvals obtained for both the self erecting, light and medium units. Design work was undertaken by Bassoe’s large engineering group based in Gothenburg Sweden, Bassoe Technology A/S (BassTech). Besides their familiarity with both ABS and DNV requirements, BassTech engineers are leaders in risk-based analysis of new vessel design. This engineering expertise, combined with our own experience of designing, fabricating and operating modular platform rigs internationally, enables us to offer premium equipment to service our customers’ workover to moderate-depth drilling requirements cost effectively.
